of lawlessness; and it's not the end of disorder.” (…) ” Let us dedicate ourselves to what the Greeks wrote so many years ago: to
tame the savageness of man and make gentle the life of this world. Let us
dedicate ourselves to that, and say a prayer for our country and for our
people.”
În discurs am găsit un citat din Eschil : "Even in our sleep,
pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, until, in our own
despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God."
”Chiar și în somn, durerea pe care nu o putem uita cade picătură cu
picătură în inimă, în propria noastră disperare, împotriva voinței noastre,
vine înțelepciunea prin înspăimântătoarea grație divină”
Citatul acesta mi se pare superb, era valabil în Grecia antică, era
valabil în SUA acum 40 de ani, este valabil în fiecare zi pentru fiecare om și
fiecare națiune aflată în momente grele. Greutățile ne fac mai înțelepți, ne
fac să vedem mai clar ceea ce este bun și ceea ce este rău.
